Member Spotlight: Drop Mobility
Founded in 2017, Drop Mobility is a micromobility solutions provider operating in 60+ cities across North America. They work in partnership with municipalities, campuses, transit agencies, and other organizations to build systems that address first/last mile mobility challenges and pursue sustainability goals.
Drop’s offerings include hardware, software, physical charging infrastructure, operations, and management services. They have in-house teams for product development, customer support, public policy, operations, marketing, sponsorships, and community outreach, that aim to provide a seamless experience for their partners and riders. Drop is vehicle-agnostic, with a primary focus on pedal-assist e-bikes. Their fleet also includes traditional pedal bikes, cargo bikes, adaptive bikes, scooters, and other specialized vehicles. In addition, they offer a variety of parking and charging solutions, including e-bike charging stations, kiosks, and wayfinding signage to support program operations.
In 2026, Drop is excited about expanding with many of their partner municipalities across the country with their latest hardware products. In February 2026, they will kick off the planned expansion and electrification of the Blue Bikes NOLA program in New Orleans, Louisiana. They have been working with the system since 2021, in partnership with the City of New Orleans and the local non-profit operator Blue Krewe.
As part of the recent grant funding, the program will scale to 2,500 e-bikes across more than 200 hub locations, several of which will support electric charging. This project will include the latest Drop vehicle and charging dock technology. The expansion includes a new fleet of e-bikes with updated anti-theft and security features such as rear wheel shroud locks and electric front hub locks and much more.

When asked about the value of NABSA membership, they said, “In our decade-long association with NABSA, we see them as a champion for the bikeshare and broader micromobility industry. The various efforts on advocacy, shared resources, member support, and networking opportunities have brought the community closer and given everyone a voice. We truly value the collaborative space NABSA has created, where members can engage with experts on public policy, latest innovations, rider safety, and more. Additionally, NABSA’s annual conference offers a relevant platform to connect with industry peers, share learnings, and cross-pollinate ideas across organizations each year.”
