NABSA Convenes Members and Shares Strategic Directions for 2025

Each year, the NABSA Board and staff put member feedback to work by incorporating it into strategic directions for the coming year. On April 3rd, NABSA hosted a member event announcing our strategic directions for 2025 and offering members an opportunity to meet and connect.

Here are highlights from the event:

  • External Communications – This year NABSA is working to develop new original content and expand our social media, and other channels, to give members more content to engage with and to support members in sharing out about shared micromobility across their own networks.
  • Advocacy – NABSA is increasing capacity to do advocacy work by hiring an advocacy director. In addition to expanding our capacity to do the work at the federal level in the US and Canada, and develop advocacy resources for members, we will also be expanding into a new area for NABSA– grassroots coalition-building– to support these efforts.
  • Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging – With the help of NABSA’s DEIB committee, we will be adding additional resources to our website to support members’ DEIB goals. We will also be expanding spaces for members to ask questions and explore issues.
  • Shared Micromobility Research Roundup – NABSA will be hosting a webinar on April 30th at 2pm ET showcasing shared micromobility research. Hear from researchers about their latest findings on infrastructure, ridership, electric devices, equity, behavior, sustainability, and more! Details coming soon!
  • State of the Industry Report – The 2024 State of the Industry Report is underway! The report will be released this summer and will mark the 6th annual release of this report. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to the report!
  • 2025 Annual Conference – The Momentum: The Power of Shared Micromobility Conference will be in Montreal, Quebec, October 15th to 17th. The call for presentation proposals is open! Submit a presentation proposal today!
  • Member Engagement – Members have a variety of ways to connect with NABSA and other members. These include the monthly newsletter, social media, member-only Slack channel and members-only listserv, member center, various knowledge sharing resources, and member events.

Members can view the event recording and presentation deck by logging into your Member Center account and visiting the virtual events archive. NABSA members that need to create their Member Center account can do so here.
