Rolling With It: Empowering Shared Micromobility Virtual Conference Recap

Thank you to all of our attendees and supporters!

On October 27th & 28th, NABSA hosted nearly 400 shared micromobility professionals at our Rolling With It: Empowering Shared Micromobility Virtual Conference. We are sincerely grateful to Lyft, our presenting sponsor, and all of our additional sponsors, keynote speakers, panelists, and attendees. This critical industry event wouldn’t be possible without your support!

The NABSA team and the Conference Planning Committee worked hard to curate a virtual event that provided attendees with as many opportunities for learning, engagement, and networking as possible. Our second virtual conference allowed attendees to attend virtual sessions, a virtual expo booth, chat and message with other attendees and speakers, participate in virtual socials, and much more.

This year’s agenda featured sixteen sessions covering topics such as operations, social equity, environmentalism, and more. The conference kicked off with our opening plenary and keynote address. We heard brief remarks from NABSA Executive Director Sam Herr, 2021 Board of Directors President  David White, and Caroline Samponaro, Head of Micromobility & Transit Public Policy at Lyft. Next, our keynote speaker Veronica Davis, PE, of the City of Houston addressed and inspired conference attendees. Day one concluded with a conference tradition – the Rapid Fire Presentation.

Day two started with the 2021 annual meeting. The meeting included the election of new Board of Directors, the announcement of Guadalajara as host for our 2021 conference, and updates from NABSA’s Executive Director. After the day’s sessions, we wrapped things up with a virtual social.

Don’t worry if you missed a session or weren’t able to attend the conference – session recordings are available for all members and conference attendees!

  • Members can access the recordings and decks through our Knowledge Share Conference Archive. Please note that you will need to log in to your member center account to view the archive. Click here if you need to create a member center account.
  • Conference attendees can view the recordings on the virtual conference portal until the end of the year by going to the Agenda and clicking on a session of interest. You must be signed in to your virtual portal profile to access the recordings.

In 2022, NABSA plans to host its first conference in Mexico. The 9th Annual NABSA Conference will be held in Guadalajara, in partnership with BKT Bici Pública. More details about the conference will be posted at nabsa.net/2022conference as we get closer.

Thank you again for your support of NABSA and our annual conference. We look forward to returning to our in-person conferences in Guadalajara and what we will all accomplish in 2022. We hope to see you all in Guadalajara next year!
