Tips for Attending a Virtual Conference
In case you missed it, the NABSA Annual Conference has gone virtual! Like the rest of the world, NABSA has had to adjust to the coronavirus pandemic. We recognize that these adjustments also apply to our members and conference attendees. We owe it to you to proceed with an event that brings together the greatest minds in bikeshare and shared micromobility in a safe, affordable way.
As the date of the conference draws nearer, we want to help ensure that attendees are ready for a virtual meeting. Here are a few tips to help you to get the most out of your virtual conference:
- Treat the virtual conference as an in-person conference. Be present, engage with the sessions, and take advantage of the networking tools and opportunities.
- Block off the conference times on your calendar and minimize potential distractions.
- Familiarize yourself with the virtual event platform before the conference starts. Learn how to chat with speakers and exhibitors, network with attendees, access session resources, etc. We’ll send out more info about the platform soon!
- Prepare your gear. To get the most out of your virtual conference, we recommend having some high-quality headphones, a microphone, and a laptop with a built-in camera or external webcam. These tools will help you engage with others and fully immerse yourself into the platform.
- Come with an open mind and positivity! Like our in-person conference, our virtual gathering will provide you with a ton of new knowledge and the chance to convene with others in the bikeshare and shared micromobility industry.
We’ll share more tips and registration info soon. Until then, visit the Virtual Conference webpage to learn more. We look forward to gathering with you!
