Why is being a board member of NABSA important to you?

Improving mobility in our cities, in ways that have positive impacts on the environment and our health, is my mission. Bikeshare is one of the newest forms of transportation and I love being involved on the ground floor of its development. Serving on the NABSA Board allows me to learn from the first and the best in this rapidly changing transportation space- and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

What experience or insight do you bring to your position on the board?

I work at the District of Columbia’s Department of Transportation where I manage the city’s Bikeshare and Bicycle Parking programs. With over 460 stations and approximately 4,000 bikes available system-wide, nearly 19-million trips have been taken by Capital Bikeshare members since its launch. I bring with me the expertise of a seasoned bikeshare program manager, of one of the nation’s oldest and largest systems- operating alongside a robust dockless bikeshare pilot.
