Board Member

Laurence Wilse-Samson

Why is being a board member of NABSA important to you?
I believe strongly that micromobility vehicles have the potential to reshape our cities to be safer, more sustainable, and more equitable. But they will not be able to realize that potential without overcoming decades of structural, regulatory, and political barriers that force people into cars, even for short trips. NABSA has an important role in bringing together diverse stakeholders in pursuit of the common goal of more livable cities.

What experience or insight do you bring to your position on the board?
Bird introduced tens of millions of Americans to micromobility by providing them with a brand new, innovative mode that fit important needs. Today, this focus on the rider remains at the center of our work, as we and our city partners work to better deliver on the promise of micromobility. I hope to bring diverse and actionable perspectives from our riders to the board.
