Joshua Tharp

Indianapolis Cultural Trail / Pacers Bikeshare

Why is being a board member of NABSA important to you?

I hope to represent smaller, non-profit members and microtransit organizations and be more involved in the broader community.

What experience or insight do you bring to your position on the board?

I have been working in the industry since 2014 and have worked in every bikeshare position in our organization, so I have a great deal of operational knowledge. I spearheaded much of the expansion that doubled our system size. I led through the introduction and adoption of ebikes, the program that led to free annual bikeshare for 6,000 users, and a free pass program for a university partner which brought another 1,000 users. I have a passion to learn more about what makes bikeshare work at a policy level and in other socio-political climates, and to help wherever I am able.
