Why are you interested in being a NABSA Board Member?

I am interested in serving on the NABSA Board because I want to contribute to the continued growth of shared micromobility and help ensure that the industry evolves in a way that is accessible, sustainable, and responsive to the needs of communities.

As the founder of HerculE-Q, I have spent the past several years working at the intersection of micromobility, infrastructure, energy, technology, and community deployment. That experience has shown me that expanding micromobility requires more than introducing new vehicles or technologies. It requires collaboration among operators, cities, universities, infrastructure providers, researchers, and the communities these systems are intended to serve.

I am especially interested in bringing the perspective of an emerging technology company and a young founder working to solve infrastructure challenges within the industry. Serving on the NABSA Board would allow me to contribute that perspective while learning from other leaders across the shared micromobility ecosystem and helping advance solutions that make shared mobility more practical, equitable, and scalable.

What skills and experience would make you a good NABSA Board Member?

I would bring an entrepreneurial, partnership-driven, and community-centered perspective to the NABSA Board. As Founder and CEO of HerculE-Q, I have built relationships across universities, municipalities, transportation organizations, technology partners, and the broader micromobility ecosystem while developing wireless charging solutions for e-bikes, e-scooters, electric wheelchairs, and other emerging mobility applications.

My experience includes business development, project management, grant development, technology commercialization, stakeholder engagement, and building public-private and university partnerships. I am also accustomed to communicating across technical, business, government, and community audiences and bringing different stakeholders together around a shared goal.

As a young Black woman building a technology company, I also understand the importance of representation and ensuring that people from underrepresented and underserved communities are included in conversations about the future of transportation. I can bring both the perspective of an emerging company navigating the micromobility ecosystem and the perspective of communities that have not always had equal access to new transportation technologies, investment, or decision-making opportunities.

Most importantly, I would come prepared to actively contribute. I see board service as an opportunity to build relationships across the shared mobility ecosystem, bring new perspectives to the table, and help NABSA continue advancing a micromobility industry that is innovative, accessible, equitable, and responsive to the communities it serves.
