Why is being a board member of NABSA important to you?

Being on the board of NABSA is a fantastic way support the organization that supports our industry. NABSA is the only organization where the expertise of innovators in technology, civic and governmental leaders is brought into one place, with a shared mission; getting more people on more bikes in more places around the continent. I love the opportunity to connect with my peers from across the US and Canada and across the world. I believe that I make better decisions every day as I manage Philadelphia’s Indego program because of those connections and I hope everyone can benefit as much as I have from the experience.

What experience or insight do you bring to your position on the board?

With the City of Philadelphia’s mission of making our Indego Program as racially and economically equitable as possible, I think a lot about who is at the table, versus who is on the menu when making decisions. On the NABSA board, I strive to take off my “city” hat and put on the hat of the operator who is working to deliver a high quality of service on a budget, and a rider who is trying to get from point A to point B.
