Member Spotlight: Trinity Metro Bikes

Located in Fort Worth, Texas, Trinity Metro Bikes, formerly known as Fort Worth Bike Sharing, is the bikeshare part of the local public transportation system. The program originally launched on April 22, 2013, with the goal to offer affordable and accessible rides across metropolitan Fort Worth. They partner with local and city organizations to make the city more bike-friendly.
In January 2025, they updated the entire system with Lyft Urban Solutions equipment. Trinity Metro Bikes now consists of 58 stations and a fleet of 340 electric bikes and 60 pedal bikes. The system make up is a mix of stations powered by solar and stations that are tied to the electrical grid, which support charging the electric bikes. Their ridership has seen significant growth, especially amongst local college students. Trinity Metro Bikes partners with TCU to offer free annual student passes. They have new station locations on the horizon to increase accessibility across Fort Worth.
When asked about the value of NABSA membership, they said, “We are grateful for NABSA to create connections with like-minded organizations across the nation to grow bikeshare, along with the ideas of facing challenges of daily operation.”
