NABSA Convenes Members to Share Updates and Discuss NABSA Board Service and the Upcoming Board of Directors Election
On Tuesday, August 26th NABSA convened members for the 2025 NABSA Mid-Year Member Call + Member Networking event. The NABSA team shared highlights from the year so far and what to look forward to. NABSA’s Executive Director, Sam Herr, and NABSA Board President, Waffiyyah Murray provided information about board service and the upcoming nomination and election process. Members shared what they are looking forward to and exciting updates with other NABSA members.

- State of the Industry Report – On August 7th, NABSA released the sixth annual Shared Micrombility State of the Industry Report for North America. The 2024 State of the Industry Report shows that shared micromobility ridership is thriving, showing that it is both a service that works for people to get where they need to go, and is also valued by communities of all sizes across North America. - Advocacy – NABSA continues to advocate for shared micromobility and its benefits to communities. NABSA is creating an advocacy toolkit to guide and support members with federal and local advocacy work. The toolkit will be released later this year.
- Diversity Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) – The DEIB committee collected valuable resources to guide DEIB efforts, including a book list, podcast recommendations, the Building a Better Shared Micromobility Industry: Best Practices for More Diverse and Inclusive Workplaces toolkit, partnering resources, and other useful tools found by committee members. - Meddin Scholarship – The recipient of the 2025 Meddin Emerging Researcher Scholarship is Anindya Debnath (Ani). He is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville and a former Fulbright Scholar, having received the award during his master’s studies at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
