Member Spotlight: ZeroZero Laboratories

ZeroZero Laboratories is a Montreal-based manufacturer and engineering consultancy, focused on turn-key solutions for micromobility operators, municipalities, institutions, and bicycle brands. The team is made up of individuals with a range of knowledge and experience in bicycle and micromobility industries, design-for-manufacture, high precision CNC machining, robotic welding, and automated manufacturing technologies to electronic systems integration, off-shore and on-shore supply chain management for mass production, as well as small batch and one-off prototyping.
ZeroZero offers a catalogue of four distinct cargo bike models available with low minimum order quantities that can be customized and adapted for docked or dockless cargo bikeshare programs. This includes a model that they designed to be ultra-durable, specifically for the rigors of large-scale municipal bikeshare programs, and is manufactured entirely in North America. ZeroZero aims to reduce the carbon footprint in the design of this model by using 6061 aluminum smelted and custom extruded in Canada using hydroelectric power.
ZeroZero offers to support operators and sourcing specialists in their own proprietary designs of micromobility products including scooters, e-bikes, cargo bikes, and logistics tricycles. Their goal is to have the manufacturing and assembly planned in coordination with the client to optimize for delivery lead times, cost constraints, and tariff considerations.

This fall, ZeroZero is proud to be a co-organiser of the 14th annual edition of the World Bicycle Forum, a global conference, symposium and festival focused on active mobility, citizen engagement with municipal politics, safety of vulnerable road users, accessibility of bicycles as transport, as well as artisanal bicycle framebuilding and craftwork. This year’s event will take place in Montreal from October 17th to 20th and ZeroZero has invited NABSA Conference participants to attend. The dates were chosen specifically to coincide with the ending of the 2025 NABSA annual conference!
When asked about being a NABSA member they said, “In our first year of NABSA membership, we have been stunned by the welcoming, collaborative nature of the NABSA conference and community more generally. It has been a welcome breath of fresh air relative to the comparatively closed and hyper-competitive nature of the bicycle industry more broadly. Our experience with networking and learning at the incredibly well-organised 2024 conference in Philadelphia was eye-opening and inspiring. We look forward to many more years of membership with NABSA as the necessity and impact of shared micromobility continues to grow.”
