The 2024 Meddin Emerging Researcher Scholar is Shirley Li
We’re happy to announce Shirley Li as NABSA’s 2024 Meddin Emerging Researcher Scholarship recipient!
Shirley Li is a PhD candidate in Environmental and Ecological Engineering at Purdue University. She holds a master’s degree in civil engineering from Purdue University, and a dual bachelor’s degree in Geomatics and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) from University of Waterloo and Wuhan University.
Shirley is passionate about designing sustainable and equitable transportation systems. Her doctoral research focuses on assessing and improving the sustainability and equity of bikeshare systems. She is also interested in exploring whether bikeshare services are equitably delivered to all population groups. Additionally, she is interested in how solar energy can power bikeshare systems, and how doing so can benefit the environment.
