2022 NABSA Mid-Year Member Call

In January 2022, NABSA held a meeting with members to announce and discuss our strategic directions for the year. On July 26th, NABSA’s Executive Director, Sam Herr, and NABSA Board President, Caroline Samponaro, updated members on NABSA’s work and progress so far this year and what we’re looking forward to the rest of the year.

The presentation included these highlights:

• The announcement of our updated mission statement and core values
• The 2022 Shared Micromobility State of the Industry Report will be released next week
• The recipient of the 2022 Meddin Emerging Researcher Scholarship is Ph.D. student Seula Lee
• NABSA’s new diversity, equity, and inclusion working group will be hosting an upcoming member feedback session at the conference
• NABSA’s increased advocacy work in Canada this year, along with ongoing advocacy in the US for policies that support shared micromobility. Find more information about some of our recent work here and resources here.
• The upcoming 2022 Board of Directors election process
• The 2022 annual conference is scheduled for October 25 – 27 in Guadalajara
