NABSA Members Providing Free or Discounted Rides for Roll to Work Day
May 21st marks the annual Bike to Work Day, which brings more awareness and support to people who get around on two or three wheels. Since its creation, e-scooters have been added to the list of devices that move people from place to place. That’s why we’re changing Bike to Work to Roll to Work! NABSA members offer free or discounted rides on Roll to Work Day and throughout May to encourage even more people to get out of the car and opt for two or three-wheeled options.
Roll to Work Day supports current riders and encourages people to try shared micromobility for the first time. Awareness events like Roll to Work Day helps to demonstrate to federal policy-makers that these modes are essential and should be part of transportation policy. The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted how shared micromobility is an essential transportation service that supports transit networks and fills transit gaps like first/last mile and transit deserts. Shared Micromobility is efficient, affordable, helps people make essential trips to jobs, and provides access to vital services and goods. Many people tried shared micromobility for the first time during the pandemic. We only see this momentum and interest growing as countries reopen and people head back to their workplaces.
