Why is being a board member of NABSA important to you?

Being a board member of NABSA means that I have direct input into an organization that is helping to shape the future of shared transportation. I have the opportunity to work with other professionals in the bike share industry to bring together a vast amount of research and knowledge in a way that is most useful for others who are interested in or are already invested in bike sharing.

What experience or insight do you bring to your position on the board?

As the founder and executive director of Fort Worth Bike Sharing (FWBS), I bring a unique perspective and portfolio of experience to the NABSA board. FWBS is a 501c3 non-profit organization with roots in our transit system, and is a past recipient of federal funding. I have worked through several facets of the federal grant process, fundraising, public-private partnerships and non-profit operations and have been able to share lessons learned and best practices with new and established systems on many occasions. With so many changes taking place within our industry, it is valuable to have a diverse group of professionals serving on the board and I am grateful to have an opportunity to contribute.
