Why are you interested in being a NABSA Board Member?
I am interested in serving on the NABSA Board because I believe shared micromobility is at an important stage in its evolution. Across North America, bike share and shared mobility programs are increasingly becoming part of the everyday transportation network of cities, and with that growth comes a need to ensure that systems are reliable, financially sustainable, safe, equitable, and capable of scaling effectively.
Over the past five years, I have had the opportunity to experience that evolution firsthand while leading operations for Bike Share Toronto and, more recently, Divvy in Chicago. I have seen both the opportunities created by rapid growth and the operational, financial, workforce, and partnership challenges that come with it.
I would welcome the opportunity to contribute that perspective to NABSA while also learning from the diverse public agencies, operators, technology providers, and other organizations that make up its membership. I am particularly interested in helping strengthen the exchange of practical best practices across the industry and supporting NABSA’s role in helping shared micromobility become an increasingly essential and sustainable part of urban transportation.
What skills and experience would make you a good NABSA Board Member?
I would bring to the NABSA Board a combination of large-scale shared mobility operating experience, strategic and financial management, and experience working across multiple stakeholders and markets.
At Shift Transit, I oversee operations in Toronto and Chicago, including Bike Share Toronto and Divvy. I joined Shift Transit in 2021 leading Bike Share Toronto, where I helped manage a period of significant system growth. Ridership increased from 2.9 million annual trips in 2020 to 5.7 million by 2023, and 7.9 million in 2025, while the operation improved service levels, customer satisfaction, financial performance, and fleet availability. More recently, I helped lead the transition of Divvy operations in Chicago, achieving new ridership records every year since the transition
These experiences have given me practical exposure to many of the issues facing NABSA members, including system expansion, e-bike growth, operational performance, workforce development, labor relations, financial sustainability, customer experience, technology integration, and public-private partnerships.
I also bring a broader strategy and operations perspective from my previous experience at Boston Consulting Group and LATAM Airlines, where I worked on strategy, organizational transformation, operational improvement, and complex transportation operations.
Finally, having directly managed major shared mobility operations in both Canada and the United States, I believe I can bring a useful cross-market perspective to the Board and help connect strategic industry discussions with the operational realities of delivering reliable service every day.
