Why are you interested in being a NABSA Board Member?
I have worked in both the private and public sector on bikeshare and see NABSA as vital in this growing field. I have witnessed firsthand how NABSA can help the industry come together to share knowledge, data, and experiences. Coming from the public sector, I would like to work to attract and retain new organizations, and to improve the resources and opportunities available to better support the government partners.
What skills and experience would make you a good NABSA Board Member?
I have been working in the bikeshare industry for over seven years, and I have experience in both the private sector on the operator side, and on for the government working at the Metropolitan Transportation Commission. MTC is the contract holder for the Lyft Bike (formerly Bay Wheels) bikeshare system in the San Francisco Bay Area. I work directly with seven cities on the bikeshare program and understand the different challenges facing municipalities both large and small. I have worked on different facets of bikeshare from equity programs, engagement, implementation, data analysis and grant funding. I am on the NABSA DEIB committee and would like to be more involved in the industry moving forward.
